Pentium III 450mhz
256MB SDram 13gig HD gf4 mx440 64mb DDR ________________________________________ What I do on my computer is use adobe reader, microsoft reader, ms office, msn, and play Counter-Strike, what will be the best pagefile? I heard people say 1 x 1.5 RAM on initial and maximum size will make it faster so its 384 for initial and 384 for maximum. I heard a Ratio 7:1 will make it faster, so 1792 for initial and 1792 for maximum. I don't know witch one, maybe these 2 are incorrect, What is the best pagingfile for 256mb sdram? I want to play Counter-strike and Warcraft 3 fast . Also, on task manager when I set priority to REALTIME ( i think the fastest ), if i put it running on the game CS, will it make my game faster? will I notice the difference?

This is an interesting question and I am curious what pagefile size would enhance your operating systems performance?
I have 2 gigabytes of Random Access Memory and I have my pagefile currently set at 512 megabytes. Should I increase my paging file size?

I searched thru the forums and found that this topic had been addressed. Since I have 1,976 megabytes of Random Access Memory available for my operating system to use, I disabled my pagefile.
