Default Big Problem!

ok so i just downloaded and installed the new driver from XFX website becuase i couldnt install the driver from the cd becuase when i put it in, it would freeze my comp.so after i install the new driver, it tells me to restart, so i do. then this nvidia window pops up and says all this stuff and if my monitor can support HDTV. i say no and then finish. so then i get a plain screen with nothin but the background, i cant see the start bar or w/e you call it or my shortcuts or anything...its just the background.... any1 know how to fix this?

Do you run XP? If so, it seems kind of like you might not be running explorer.exe. Just the background shows up when you end the explorer process in XP. To restore it, just hit ctrl+alt+del and when task manager appears go to file>run then type explorer and it might restore it. Otherwise, try downloading the drivers directly off of nVidia's website.
