need help please.......

Hi, I just bought a new Dell Dimesion 3000 computer. I have a Sony Digital Camcorder, model DCR-TRV130. I bought a firewire to hook it up, in which one end is a USB2.0 and the other end is a IEEE1394. When I connect it to my computer, and turn my camera on, I get a "USB Device not recognized" error. It comes up as an unknown device. I just want to connect to my computer. Can someone help me with what I need to do. I'm guessing I need some sort of driver.

yeah you will need to install the drivers for you cam, if you do not have them just try putting the make and model of the cam into google. You should be able to get them there .
