Default How can i make my machine better...

This is my current machine ok..

ASUS P5GD1-PRO 915P
Intel Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz
Inno 3D Geforce 6600 256Mb 128 Bit
RAM 512 MB
Lite on Combo Drive DVD/CD Writer
Lite on CD Writer
Seagate Barrcuda 7200 RPM SATA 80Gig

I'm from Philippines... so thats why I dont have that great machine yet...

and how much is 7800 GT in america.... here in the Philippines its about $ 500-$ 600...

and what's this overclocking... i had read from a magazine that my motherboard has this feature... how can I use it? and what are the benefits of having an overclocking feature on your computer... tnx...

First off a good upgrade of RAM would do you some good. That is the best upgrade (and cheapest) to make your computer run faster. A 7800 GT will run you anywhere from 320-400 here in the U.S.

faster transfer rate than IDE and usally quicker seek time.

Windows XP SP 2...

what I mean is how can I make the loading of windows more faster... i think for about 3-5 seconds...

Well, your gona need Raptors for 3-5 Seconds, but if you want to use your HDD that you have now, run msconfig and take off anything on startup you dont need.

Even Raptors don't do 3-5 seconds. The POST time would probably take that long.

Well once i tweeked my windows so bad that i could boot in 7 sec with my crappy ide hdd
