Default lag while scrolling

computer - sony laptop

whenever i go to scroll down/up or hit the page down/up button..it takes like 2 seconds for the page to actually do it. The page does not move down or up smoothly either. It gets very fustrating when i've been on the laptop for a while..say 2 hours..there is an even longer lagging time.

This laptop has been restored once before...i'm not sure if that's the reason why. I've also done a virus scan and nothing has come up so i'm not sure what the problem is.

i've found this to be caused by not having the graphics drivers not installed, try reinstalling your graphics drivers and see if things pick up

Are you tapping the key or holding it down? There might be a delay set for a key being held down. Also, if you're using your touchpad or an external mouse, are you getting the same results? How about your down arrow key?

The last time you did a recovery, did you still have the same problem? I mean right after you did it and before installing any other programs. It could be a lot of junk on your system. But also, when something stutters (and lags more over time), is when your Virtual memory is used up. How much RAM do you have on your system?
