Can't Open Internet Explorer

In the past few weeks, I've noticed I can't open IE by clicking on the blue ie icon.......but I can click a hyper-text and it will open. I have XP Pro as my OS. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I think there pathway problem.

Try copy the exe of internet explore from C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer
and pasting into the desktop, see if that works.
