the X2 3800+ beats it in any test you can throw at it.

3800+ x2 dual core against intel p4 3.2 single core?...3800+ x2 all the way...there's no competition between those two

Well you can compare them, it's just kind of stupid to do so, both price and performance vise.

X2's competitor is the Smithfields.

Edit: When posting anything about the P4 CPU's (or any chip) don't forget to mention which particular chip you have in mind. Not that it matters all to much in this case but think about it.

Intel has 7 or so single cored P4 CPU's all operating at 3200Mhz.
