Post Monitor staying blank!!

Hi guys, I recently got a new computer and I dont know to much about them so I was wondering if anyone knows what is wrong with my monitor. What happens is when i hook up the monitor to the tower the power button on the monitor goes orange instead of green, which means standby, and it stays like that. I cant get my monitor to show a picture!!..

That's probably not a problem with your monitor. Check your video card firstly, and then unplug all PCI cards and IDE devices to see if that helps. Then plug them back in one at a time to see which is causing the problem.

Look at Arghagsd - this person seems to be having the same problem.
