Default dvd rom ???

I have a btc dvd rom which proudly proclaims itself to be dvd rom. The only problem is when I insert a dvd all I get is the "loading mouse" and nothing happens in windvd (except whiring noises from the dvd rom). it plays fine from my usb dvd rom.

Try uninstalling the drive from BIOS and rebooting to let it reinstall itself. Further, does the disc EVENTUALLY get detected if you let it sit there for like 20 minutes?
