I want to build a new PC. I'll be transferring over most of my current parts. I really just need a case, power supply, motherboard, processor, video card & RAM.
I'll be using the PC for the internet, burning CDs & DVDs & playing games using MAME. I will need a video card w/S-Video out so I can hook it up to my TV. I'd like at least a 2.4ghz processor (or AMD equivalent) & at least 1GB of RAM. I'm looking to build a budget PC here. The more under $500 the better. I'd like to buy my parts from new egg since I have always had good experiences w/them. I was looking at bare bones systems, but have no idea what I'm supposed to be looking for there. |

so what exactly constitutes "most of my current parts"? Anyways, if you want a budget system, look for like a celeron, a mobo around $80 or so, some value ram, and maybe like an x800 or 6800 series card

Pointing to to specific parts would be helpful, thanks. |
