Default Smithfield DC 3.0 or P4 3.6

wich one of these 2 would be best for multitasking while gaming and video/photoediting, i like to run tons of programs and downlaods at once and play games during the same time i would figure the smithfield will out do the 3.6 but just felt like asking and also wanna see if anyone has the smithfield 3.0 dual core

Smithfields dual core LGA 775 W/64 NO-HT

The smithfield is a Dual-Core cpu, it doesnt need HT.

And the AMD X2 would be a much better choice than either of them, its recent tests the AMD X2 series outperformed the intel Pentium D and P4 in all sorts of test from gaming to video encoding.

Ah ok, can your motherboard accept a Pentium D? If it can i would get the Pentium D.

The dual core range benefit from Hyperthreading as much as the cingle core, its just reserved for the ee's
