reg question

Hello,
back to my project (about the registration for student), here is my question:
If a student has registered and finished 3 course, lets say, A, B, and C. What should I need to make this happen in my database? For example, do I need to create a text field containing courses that certain student has finished, and then when I need to know if such a course has been registered, I shall search that field??!?!!
Any suggestion

N.B.: If somebody has some previous experience with implementing database from a text-given requirement, please PM me.
