Default How to create a MP3??

Hi,
I have just got a new MP3 player for the car and would like to know how to create my normal music Cd's into MP3 format ???

Most of my music is stored in MP3 format to my laptop, but when I usually burn a disc it converts it, so I can play on my Walkman!
I have Roxio easy CD/DVD Version 6 and Nero 6.6 , but when I try to burn it in MP3 (Roxio Creator Classic) it says ' no supported recorders available' ??

Any help with this?

Thanks in advance.

Neil

If you have regular cd's with music on them, put it in your computer and use Windows Media Player to rip the songs to your hard drive, once you have ripped all the cd's, go into nero and then click audio. Then click "create mp3 cd", and add all the songs that were on your normal cd's and whatever is on the computer, then it will automatically convert them to mp3 format.

Also, you may need to change the settings in WMP so that it creates a .mp3 file, instead of a .wma when its ripped.

Thanks Geoff for you quick reply.
Problem is I don't seem to have the option for MP3 in Nero, that is why I was using Roxio.
Where is to be found in Nero, I have looked everywhere??

I think I have now found it in Nero Express.
I am off to try it in the car?

Cheers
