im gettin speakers mainly to play games on my pc, and on my gaming console as well (if its possible)
which would be better?? 7.1 0r 5.1 price range is up to 120 dollars throw some model names out if you can thanks

well for 7.1 speakers for 120 dollars they are gonna be generally lower quality. but 5.1 speakers for 120 dollars might be better. so go with the 5.1. try newegg.com

well i chose these 3

well it looks like im going to go with the logitech ones because that is what pepole on this forum seem to have the most experience with...
so do i need anything special to hook it up i have onboard sound rite now that has -line in -mic. in -line out -digital audio in

Okay....You most likly wont be able to use 5.1 with that, your onboard sound most likly only supports stero, which is 2.0. the first number is the number of speakers and second is thwe subwoofer if you didn't know......Most games don't support 7.1 or 7.2 and a little mroe support 5.1 but still not many.

Just get the 5.1's. They'll have better sound quality than the 7.1's.

i like my 5.1 headphones.
there by turtle beach and have a nive detachable mic. i chose this cause its a cheaper solution and sounds better imo. plus i didnt have to set up any speakers!
