Please help if you can!
I was using a firewire connection to capture from my Sony DV camera until recently, when it stopped working. The computer does detect the camera. However, all capture programs freeze up when I connect the firewire and turn on the camera. Eventually they will say unable to capture or something. Some say it's in use by another program (not as far as I can tell). So far I have completely recovered my whole system on my HP (XP) which has been a nightmare and did not cause the capture to work. I'm at my wit's end. Please help! Also device manager doesn't show any problem with the ieee or camera and I 've uninstalled and reinstalled drivers three times.
