creating a hard drive in the new hard disk

i bought a new hard disk, it was recognized as a new hardware on windows, but there is not a new hard drive, how will i use the new hard disk? please help

Windows won't see it until it is formatted. Right click on my computer icon and click on manage. go into disk management, there you can partition and format the drive and assign drive letters. then it will show up in my computer.
