Default How to work an external Email

Alright, i am trying to use Evolution Mail. I have a email account at yahoo. I have never done this before so i am going to need some help . Alright first, it asks for server type, than the server, then it again asks for server type. If you could help that would be great. Thanks

Here are the server settings for Yahoo mail

Server Settings
Incoming Mail Server (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk
using SMTP port 587

Account Name/Username: Your Yahoo! User Name
Email address: Your Yahoo! Email Address
Password: Your Yahoo! Mail password

alright, when i press send/receive mail it says: Error while Fetching Mail.

Unable to connect to POP server pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk.
Error sending password: Operation now in progress

sounds to me that you have put your password into your email client incorrectly.

To be honest i always find it easier to just delete the profile that is being a pain in the ass and start again as sometimes its just a matter of a single letter being out of place and I get cross eyed looking at box after box of server addresses etc.

Just delete the profile and start again should work...

yea, deleted account, made a new one same thing. Tried it on 3 seperate accounts. no luck

Yahoo doesn't support POP3 as far as i know....and if it does which maybe im wrong....the extesions migh be .com if your in the usa...

Also i think that HOTMAIL accounts will NOT work.
