actually.....i think i found the problem. I havent opened the case up yet, but I feel that I miht not have put enough compound on the chip to keep it cool...and this is just its way of letting me know that. My friend is coming up this weekend and is gonna bring some up, once i add more, hopefully it will be working fine.

It's a possibility, but very little thermal compound is required. Are you using the stock HSF, and if so did you completely remove the old thermal pad? What exactly are your temps? If it is temperature related, it will happen again, when you're doing something more CPU intensive.
