Default Help! Won't Play!

Hey everyone. When I put a DVD in and play it with Real Player (v10) the audio does not play. My audio is fine everywhere else. I think I might try uninstalling Real Player, and then install it again, but I'm worried that my music will get lost from the player. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Derek

just save the music in another folder somewhere else. then after you reinstall just tell real player to load up the music from the folder you have it saved in.

RealPlayer will play DVDs? Well, I really hate that player, so I've not used it in some time...

Perhaps try another player. I use media player classic. Oh, and how are you opening the files? Is it autoplay or what? I noticed if I play some DVD's autoplay, they won't have audio. BUT, if I go into the drive dir and open some of the files, they will have audio. Odd, huh?

Hey guys, I tried deleting Real, and downloaded a new one, and it didnt work. (All files were fine). I then got a link from a guy for codecs, and that fixed it. So TOO, why do you hate Real? I love it, and I cant use any other player for music. They all seem much more disorganized. Just my opinion...Thanks for the help guys.

Ah, a codec problem... Weird, usally if it plays at all MPEG2 codecs are fine. Oh well, might try the same for mine

Last time I used it was back in like 98 or so! Back then, it was more complicated than it needed to be and, if I remember correctly, loaded other crap on the computer. Plus, I don't exactly trust players like that. Hell I don't even like Windows Media Player.

And I have another codec that allows me to play about 80%-90% of Real videos and audio in my player
