i make a lot of movies and needed more space for my computer. i got a western digital external usb hard drive and am having a hard time working it. at first i just set it up and turned it on, and noticed an E drive on my computer. i opened that and figured i could just copy and paste files in there and that was adding them to the new external hard drive (like ftp file transfering for webmasters.) Was it?
Later when i turned it on the retrospect cd booted something i had to register for, it has a few options but i dont understand it. The E drive section is now gone but the D drive is a red circle and says retrospect. was the hard drive just not installed at first when it said E drive? so how do i copy stuff from my computer to the new hard drive, does it have to be done through the retrospect thing? cause it looks too confusing.

and also once i installed this my computer started going reallllly slow and now everthing keeps freezing except my mouse.
