installin windows xp

hey y'all

i was installing windows xp and its was at preparing installtion and i got a popup saying "virus like: filename(dont remember).. norton anti-virus boot or write from C:\ drive, please disable norton program and restart setup"

does this means i have a virus or its jus sayin tha? should i continue installin it?

yup, it is just detect a modification to the boot file.
