Default a program that can exproit into frames?

I'm trying to make a cool scene of a movie into a gif but i need you guys to tell me what program can export a clip into lots of frames of it. i know quick time pro does it but i want a free one or a free trial

I use it and its great, occasionaly some movies dont work but usualy they do , well ones I have taken do atleast.
