internet connection problems...

I just downloaded this thing that allows me to send unlimited nudges to people on MSN messenger. The program seam to have added some internet links onto my desktop aswell (paid advertisment). Since the unlimited nudge thing didnt end up working, I uninstalled/deleted it etc.
Then, the internet suddenly didn't work! I can't use MSN msnger, internet, outlook or any thing that requires internet! It says that there is no connection/the page could not be displayed and that I have to connect to the internet etc. But, I have broadband ADSL so I am kind of stuck.
Please help! (BTW, I am using another computer incase u are wondering why i am able to use the forum online...)

reinstall your modem and set up your internet connection settings again!!!
and Scan for virus. Spyware. Adware.
