Hey all, i was wonderin if any could help.
I have worked out that my Windows XP Pro registry is fuzked and so is XP itself. however i have a number of important files on my hard drive. i was wondering could i re install windows on my second completely clean 160gb hdd and some how retrieve files from my other drive? Any helps much appreciated

First I would try repairing the installation, which you can do from the XP CD. But if that doesn't work, then yes, what you're proposing should enable you to get your files back, but you can also install a second copy of XP on the same hard drive and boot from there.
