External Hard Drive

Dear All

I have got an external hard drive 250 GB, and I used it a few months ago and stored some data into it, but after a few months, yesterday I wanted to use it again. When I connected it to the external case of the hard drive, nothing showed up at all, and I could not get anything on my computer at all, but when I checked it in the device manager / disk drives I can see it says ( Maxtor 250 USB). I have tried it on a different computer, but it still has got the same problem, and I have tried different hard drive and it works, but this one does not show up at all.

I am using windows xp professional pack 2.

I will appreciate your help and assistance in the above matter
