'ello chaps,
iv run into a bit of a pickle heres my problem: Well just got m new custom built computer (which is great), but i wanted to install my old computers hard drive as a secondary drive in my new computer, problem is my new computers HD is SATA where as my old HD is IDE what can i do? |

Which I think it probably should, my comp. has 4 SATA slots, and 4 IDE slots... You should probably have both. Hope it helped, GL |

Exactly right, IDE hard drives and SATA hard drives will work fine together. You'll just need to jumper the IDE drive correctly to avoid conflicts with your optical drives, and most importantly set the SATA drive as your primary boot device in your BIOS.
