does window's movie maker go here? if it does then i have a question

i've been working on a movie and so far its about 11min. and 30sec. when i try to save it on my computer so i can watch it windows media player, it won't save. i mean i started saving it at 5 and then checked ack at 7:30 and it still wasn't saved and it said 60min! i know that it doesn't take that long to save. it saved noramlly when the movie was only 9min. long and below. is there something different i have to do? or is the video to long to save? any help would be appreciated.
