Default Blu Ray Disks

Has anyone read 'bout these Blu-Ray disks? http://www.blu-ray.com/ Playstation is usin them for its PS3. 50GB on one disk is pretty damn good. Makes ya think doesn't it? Whats the world gonna b like in 20 years if we keep advancing like this? Its great in many ways but sucks in others...Soon as you go out and buy things they are outdated by the time you can drive home. I heard how DVD players are going to be outdated soon...~sigh~

Well, holographic discs are boasting 300GB + per disc. Makes your head spin that all the data you'll ever need (or want) is on one disc. I don't think thats too close to becoming mainstream though.

TDK have come up with a 4-layer Blu-Ray disc which has 100Gb storage space. And 50Gb Blu-Ray discs are dual layer by the way.
