I just installed a CD-RW drive that has 52x48x52 speed..and I'm using CD-RW disks with 1x,2x,4,multispeed....I'm wondering if I brought the wrong CD-RW disks(speed-wise) or is it something else
because when I try writing to one of those disks it says "Cannot Copy file, Access is denied Make sure the disk is not full or write protected", Even tho the disks are brand new from the store. Can anyone help me out if they can?

1. What drive do you have that has a RW speed of 48X ... cuz there isnt even a spec for that yet
2. What burning app are you using?

Oops sorry...I got the numbers mixed up...it's a LITE-ON 52x32x52 CD-RW...and I'm not really burning anything as of yet.....all I did was try to copy a few simple files to my CD-RW via Windows Explorer & that message(see my previous post) popups up everytime......I mean are movies & music the only thing I can burn(or copy) to a CD-RW? And do I have to use a specific program to burn CDs or can I just use Windows Explorer?

You can use windows to do it although its stupid, inefficient and extremely unreccomended. One of the most popular programs to burn didsc is Nero although if you're looking for a free program, Deepburner will do the job superbly

WindowsXP is a quirky OS when it comes to built-in burning capability. Many people claim to be able to burn fine. Many others have problems. Microsoft released an update to the IMAPI (which, FYI stands for Image Mastering Applications Programming Interface); that update can be found at http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;320174 Furthermore, Microsoft has adressed other burning issues with WindowsXP, see http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;324129
That update might be rolled up in SP1a or SP2 by now but I dont know, i run SP1 and i dont use IMAPI so i dont have a way to check
