Here's what I want to do: use my 2 stereo speakers as speakers for my new computer (check sig, I now have the $$ I just have to sell some paintball stuff before my parents will let me buy it.)
Here's the problem: I didn't buy any speakers with my system so that I could keep the cost down. On the stereo system deck (where the cd's and all go in) it says it has 460W. This thing rattles the house and I was just thinking how fun it would be to play cod2 and have it be as loud as if you were there, not to mention music. So, the speakers have some unusual connections but I've seen a question posted on here about that and I know that I will be able to connect them to my pc. My main problem is will there be enough power? I will have a 520W PSU but I'm sure my pc will be taking up a large portion of it when playing a game and I wouldn't want it to shut down cause I had it up too loud . Is there some way I could hook the amp that is in the system deck up to the speakers while the speakers are still hooked up to the computer? It'd be great if I could have the speakers hooked up to both my pc and the deck and still recieve power from the deck.thanks for any help ![]() EDIT: there shouldn't be any interference with it being the stock Mobo sound correct? like I wont blow a circuit or somethin... I do plan on getting a soundcard later on.

I don't exactly know what you mean, but I connected my stereo system to my computer via a cable that has two male RCA's on one of the ends and a 3.5mm jack (1/8", I think). The 3,5mm goes to the computer and the RCA's to the stereo system and then I choose the AUX mode to get sound from my computer.
