Angry In need, Boot CD

My wife computer ask for a reboot disk when start, what is this and how I can create one?
When I turn-on the system it sound like a blower then only appear the following message" Reboot and Select Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected boot device and press a key"

The system is a desktop Compaq Presario Model S4000T, DVDRom and CD/RW
OS Windows XP Profesional

Any help, please

Okay, well first off...boot disks can be acquired at http://www.bootdisk.com If ever you need one, go there...great site.

However, it does not look like thats your problem. I think what you should do is enter the bios. If you don't know how, try hitting typical keys like f1, f4, f6, f8 and f10 on startup. If none of that works, search Google for how to enter your specific brand of computer's bios. When you get into bios, look for startup device. Put the list in the following order. 1.Floppy drive(s) 2. CD Drive(s) 3. Hard Drive.

It appears that based on that message "Reboot and Select Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected boot device and press a key" that your Hard Drive isn't selected as a boot device. If it is, and there is no media in any drive, then you have another problem.
