cant find url to computer (mac)

hi, my friend can't find the url to her mac. Do any of you know how to find the url? thanx

are you talking about the IP, if so just go to whatismyip.com

whatismyip.com will only give an external IP address, if you are on annetwork and need to know the internal IP address of the machine, then click START - RUN - type "cmd" - type "ipconfig /all" - read where it says IP ADDRESS.

on a mac go into System Preferences>Network>*Connection type*>TCP/IP

...for the local ip that is

whatsmyip finds your external ip, not the netowork ip.

yeah but aldog967 asked for the "url", whatever he means, and he hasn't been back into the thread so no one knows exactly what he's talking about. It could be external ip, it could be network ip, it could be something else.
