Default Am I getting my $ worth?

I have been looking around and I saw that someone was getting a 3800 X2 with a $650 budget. I have about $1150 to spend and I need about $150 for the case, keyboard, and mouse, so all of my components can be $1000 maybe $10 over. Here's what I have so far:

Motherboard: MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum ($123)
Videocard: XFX Geforce 7800GT ($309)
Power Supply: ASPIRE ATX BLACK 520W ($59.99)
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 3700+ ($228)
Ram: CORSAIR XMS 1GB 184-Pin ($128)
Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar 250GB SATA 300 MB/s 16MB Cache ($110)
Burner: LITE-ON Black IDE CD Burner ($20)

Total: $978.00 + shipping brings it to about $1010.00

I will be using the computer for gaming, and I do plan on upgrading to 2 X 1GB which is why I have a single ram stick. Eventually I would like to overclock, but the jump in performance at first would make an overclock unnoticable.

My prices are in USD, and shipping for all of that on Newegg is about $30. The shipping must be included in the price too.

I guess what I'm asking is if there's a better configuration for the same $. I've seen $700 set-ups with a better processor than I am getting.

You could get a better mobo.
Something like:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813136152
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813127197

This PSU is also good:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817189003

For RAM I would recommend:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227209
it has tighter timings. About same price.

Here is a list
AMD Athlon 64 3700+
DFI LANParty UT
XFX Geforce 7800GT
OCZ Platinum 1GB
NEC 3550A DVD Burner
WD Caviar 250GB HDD
XClio XClio 450BL PSU
Comes to $989.93 without shipping.
Its about $20 over the $1000 limit, but I think it is superior to your original setup. The PSU has dual rails with 17A @ 12v1 and 15A @ 12v2. The RAM has tighter timings at same speed. The burner that I got is much better. The motherboard that I chose has many options and is stable.
