it says Error 1306. Another application has exclusive access to the file C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\counter-strike source client.gcf. Please shut down all other applications then click retry.

i click retry and it comes up with that error again so i click cancel and then it says Fatal error during installation.

Uninstall steam before you uninstall anything else. It is steam that has the exclusive acess to CSS, so uninstall steam and then CSS or HL2.

The only thing that might do that I think would be your graphics card, however it meets the requirments.... do you have the latest drivers for it?

BTW- No need to post 3 "anybody?"'s in a row
