Question msn + webam = trouble

i installed this digital camera that is supposed to work as a webcam 2... (and it did before, like 1 year ago)

well it works perfectly fine, until i want to start sending it...

i just did the setup thingie for audio/video, and i can see the image from the webcam there (just as supposed, i can just see wat my webcam is supposed to put trough).

then, when i try to start sending the webcam to some1 i get this error:
"Your conversation cannot begin because your camera is currently in use or not plugged in. Make sure your camera is available and try again."

i CAN view it in the setup, so it IS plugged in, i just reconnected it to my pc, so it cant be in use can it?

i tried:
~updating to latest software
~choosing another usb port
