I recently bought FarCry and it looked horrible. Some textures were missing and the lighting looked horrid. I downloaded a patch and it looks better. The textures have been added and the game looks good now. I sometimes wonder if anyone actually looks at the games when they're making them. Sometimes I get the impression that they code it and cross their fingers. Stupid developers...

LOL Yeah thats so true dude, either they dont get the graphics right or they horribly screw up gameplay (BF2 anyone??) I just wish developers could get it right the first time instead of shoving a new game into stores way too early than they should.

Nah... There is soooooo much different hardware I bet it would be nightmare to make it run right on all at first. Plus Hardware that was released later. When I first installed Farcry on my last system it was basically screwy as mentioned in the first post. When I installed it without patches on my most recent computer it runs and looks great. I would not knock the developers
. Especially on such a great game.

I actually don't think this game is as good as people try to say it is. It's decent, but I've seen better.
