Have you tried oc'in on stock cooling yet? I would try that and see how high you can get, you may be surprised.

I talked to a guy couple of weeks ago that had the same setup as me and he said that he got his to oc to 2.9. I see you have your to 2.5 on a venice. You should be able to get more. I have four fans in my case. I have three 80mm fans and one 120mm fan.

I have gotten more. It's a matter that 2.5 is whats stable and safe to run on my personal chip. Stability is also an important factor, as no one likes to have jsut beaten a level then have a computer shut down before saving. And remember that mine started aat 1.8, not 2.0. I'm quite happy with how fast its running now.

the venice core is a great overclocker, but its socket 939. if you have a newcastle,.. you wont be able to get it up to 2,9GHz i think, just because the newcastle runs unstable then. the cooling wouldnt be a problem,.. just you pc would have random restarts, or wouldnt boot windows at all
