Hi, iv'e recieved a new laptop for xmas (No im not a spoilt brat, i'm at boarding school and will use it for work.) I plugged it into my router (NETGEAR ADSL Firwall Router DG834). Iv'e basically installed all the anti-virus software then just simply plugged a spare port into my laptop and the internet and Lan worked fine, then after i while, the internet stopped working, as well as the lan. I don't have a clue what i've done. The Computers know that there connected, they show a local area network sign and stuff like that but i still cant get it to work (the laptop dont show shared files folders etc.). I've done a restore point to where i've started from but that dosn't work either.

Any help would be appreciated
