Default startup problems

After installing net.framework, i have two problems, when win xp starts, opens a windows of dos command and previous to this i have to log in as a user (the only one in this PC). How can i solve those problems?
When i open microsoft word, opens the microsoft student menu, what can i do to avoid this?
Thanks, Bkupfer

You're using .NET Framework 1.1, right? Becouse I had the same problem. Try installing .NET Framework 2.0, you'll need to upgrade your Windows Installer to 3.0.
