Default Need help with PowerPoint ASAP!

Alright, i am doing a slide show for my church. What we want to do is have music play to the slides. We want the music to only play for a certain amount of time, for each section of the slide show. I tried INSERT>Sounds and movie clips>sounds from file, but whenever the music starts to play the slide wont change until the song is over. Have any ideas? I have to present this on Sunday, and today is my last day to work on it! Thanks

make sure to press across twice kinda fast or click on the mouse twice and it should change slide and music! if you just press it once it will restart the current slide and restart the music over!

What version of power point do you have?

When you insert the sound, have it so you must click to start it. Then when the speaker icon appears, right click it and press "custom animation". From there you can go to effect options, or something similar, and select to have it stop "after current slide".
