Default Vaio Wireless Problem

I have a Vaio PCGTR3A with XP and as I rolled away from my desk my headphones caught my chair, pulling the laptop off the desk 2 feet to the floor. The computer boots and works except that the wireless lan light will not come on and I have no wireless access. The wireless switch is turned on.
Any suggestions, probable sources of problem (other than being dropped on it's head)?
Thanks!
Lucien

It could be that it's a PCI card that was dislodged from impact. You can try to open it up and see if you can access the wireless card in there. Is it still under warranty?

No warranty, can you describe what the card looks like?
Thanks!

The wireless card looks like a laptop memory stick with 2 wires coming out of it. It fits into its slot just like RAM memory.
