A while ago, I accidently downloaded the 'SpySheriff' virus. It changed my desktop wallpaper and caused tons of pop ups to occur. I googled how to fix the problem (because Adaware and Norton Antivirus wasn't picking up anything), and I found a program called 'Xoftspy'. I registered the product, and scanned my hard drive. It appeared to pick up the spysheriff files, as well as many others. (Seems like a great program!). My wallpaper is back to normal. However, I will still randomly get Internet Explorer popups, even when I'm not browsing. I don't even use IE, I use firefox. Yet I still continue to get IE popups every once and a while. How can I fix this problem? I tried running Xoftspy again, and it says it is finding 0 errors. Thanks for all the help and responses in advance.
