Hey guys. I'm in the market for a new computer now (Well actually I have been for the past 4 years or so now
) and I thought I would ask for your help. I've been looking around various places and I found this computer to be the best for my price. (I think?) Could you guys please tell me any reason why I shouldn't get this? I wouldn't do much gaming, nothing too complex anyways. Homework would be done on it, using the net, and burning dvds and so on. http://www.thesourcecc.com/estore/Pr...roduct=2511728 I heard Celeron's aren't very good, can anybody please tell me? Also can the dvd burner also burn cds? Thanks for your time. EDIT: Please don't tell me to buy parts and build a computer, I don't have a clue what I am doing and I don't have any friends that do either. |

Well I'd say that it is good, other than the fact that it is a Celeron. The reason why they arent very good is because they have such a small L2 Cache, as you can see its only 256 KB when now the normal CPU has about 1-2 MB (so 4-8 times more) If i were you I'd try to look for something with like a Pentium 4, they arent much more expensive but they provide a lot more speed. And yes, I do believe that the DVD-RW will allow you to burn CD's, usually DVD burners do both.
