Hey everybody. I was just in Best Buy today, looking at the Logitech x530 speakers, and damn were they expensive. They had the speakers on a test computer (They sounded really good) so I went online to newegg.com and looked at the reviews to see if I should buy them. Then I noticed the price: $49.99 Retail at Newegg.com, and $86.99 at Best Buy. Wow...I bought them at Best Buy (One of those, I want it now things, and I had a $25 dollar gift card) but I got home and realized I was an idiot. I already ordered them from Newegg, and I am returning to Best Buy tomorrow. It just amazes me how much more expensive they were. To top it off, when leaving, I left up the page with Newegg price of the same speakers, so hopefully someone saw how much of a ripoff Best Buy is. I still love Best Buy though, just not the prices...

Yup, bestbuy's prices on alot of thing's like that are very high. One thing they seem to have cheap is there harddrive's after mail in rebates, but alot of technology stuff there is expensive com' on 250$ for a intel P4 3.2ghz CPU?
but good for Cd's and such, since ussslay after shipping you cant find the CD's much cheaper. |

Yeah, some hardware is cheaper. I will always buy games and music from Best Buy, not online so much.

i love newegg, and i would buy there just because they have GREAT customer service. i dont really care to pay a little extra to get fast shipping. of course this just applies to computer hardware, not games and dvds. i buy a lot of my games at wal-mart......they seem to have pretty good prices on pc games and its A LOT CLOSER to my house than best buy, but when im at best buy i always have to pick up a new game/movie.

Newegg is the best, not really the cheapest online source. The cheaper ones could be a dude selling crap out of his basement.
Usually if there is a mail in rebate at bestbuy you can get the same thing online for the same price or cheaper without the mail in rebate. They're gambling on whether or not you forget the rebate. Those that do pay a little more and they make more profit.
