Default SP2 annoyances

After installing SP2 there's a lot of crap to get rid of...
But this is ****ing crazy: no basic authentification is allowed on unencrypted channel. So I can't see my ISP-traffic log (set as my homepage) because it's on a normal http channel (not https). And that's only one example... Even the Gmail notifier can't open the gmail inbox...

Fortunately there's a workaround for that: open regedit, go to key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\WebClient\Parameters and create a DWORD with name UseBasicAuth and value 1 (or, if it already exists, change its value from 0 to 1). Then restart the computer.
