Default Addressing laptop's possible heating issues.

My recently acquired Emachine M-5305 Notebook hasn't really exhibited the extreme heating issues that some other owners/reviewers have lamented, but - then again - I haven't tossed any real heavy stuff at it yet (though my wife has played some card games on it, with animation & voices, for hours without event). I just learned that one of the music sequencing programs that I wanted to use would do nicely with 512MB's of RAM (which is what's installed), but I also wish to run another monitor (CRT) on it for dual display. I am sure that this (especially for the hours upon hours that I would be on it) would be sure to translate into a very "taxing" operation for the notebook. And this brings me to the heart of my post.

I read the review of an owner at epinions.com (on the heating issue), and this is a portion of what he wrote:
I have found many customers actually taking out the original thermal compound found on the Athlon XP-M and replacing it with an improved compound like Arctic Silver.

Has anyone, here, had any experience with this? and, if so, how much 'tear down' is required to effectuate such a procedure? As I stated earlier, there have been no heating problems with this unit - thus far, but I would feel much better about making this preventative step - as opposed to being in the middle of an important musical project and have something to happen.

UPDATE: Disregard this thread. I had forgotten that LapTopExtreme had responded to a similar query of mine in another post (just re-read it). Thanks anyway.
