Default 64Bit or Dual?

Which of these cpu’s are better for this motherboard? Dual or 64bit?
I wanted it for high end gamming mainly; I think the dual cpu would be better for the future games?

http://www.gamedude.com.au/prod_show...=cpP4_64bit_38

Is this a decent motherboard I wanted a high end board for speed (games)

Thanks

Dont get either of them, get the AMD X2 3800+ for $492 or the AMD X2 4200+ for $608. It easily outperforms those intels at gaming, and is much cheaper.

By the way, the AMD X2 is Dual-core and 64 Bit.

And look into getting a motherboard similar to this: http://www.giga-byte.com/Motherboard...GA-K8N-SLI.htm

Only the 2nd link is 64-bit.

Again, dont go with the Intel Dual-Cores, go with the AMD X2 3800+ or 4200+. They outperform intel at virtually any task you can throw at it. And it will excel greatly at gaming.

Which would be better out of the 2?

Yes I know, AMD is probably better for gaming but I’m an Intel fan so I’m trying to stick with them.
but if the AMD beats it by far I consider getting that one but I like that GA-G1975X motherboard too.
Its like I hate holdens but there is nothing wrong with them their good cars but you *know the feeling*

I used to be in Intel fan as well, but the fact is that the Pentium D or Pentium EE cant beat the AMD X2 series cpu's. If you dont want to spend much money, go with the 3800+, but if money really isnt an issue go with the 4200+.

what's wrong with something like this? I mean if you're going dual core you should be doing it for things other than gaming, in which case the 4mb L2 and 64 bit support, not to mention much lower price really make this look like a good choice in my opinion. But like geoff said, AMD has the gaming edge

well, remember back at a thread showing some benchmarks comparing x2 and PD's...the X2's absolutely destroyed the PD's in every test. So there really isn't anything wrong with it, but it just won't out perform the X2 according to the benchmarks.

intels are always more expensive just because theyve got so much more marketing power and influence over amd.
