Either,
Really doesnt matter... I can tell you that the ASUS board is really good, it is the one I use. As for the other, I've heard many people on this forum speak its praises. Either, seems to have all the features you wanted, and more; should be a great choice..

Sorry, if you were looking for a definate choice.
Then i say. ASUS board. 1) I have it, i can vouch for the quality 2) Has tons of features (including 7.1 audio) 3) Less expensive than other

DFI by far. The DFI has loads more overclocking features then the ASUS and better layout.

if it does have more overclocking features then i will get that i want to overclock my 3800 + X2, so i guess i will go with the DFI board, they seem to be almost the same right, i wouldnt be losing anything by going with the DFI over the ASUS right?

after reading many reviews on websites such as tomshardware and anandtech i have decided to change my decision to the ASUS board. it seems to be more reliable then the DFI. the DFI was said to be picky about hardware. and the ASUS board was overclockable as well.

I am thinking about building my own computer now, and I was also looking into these two motherboards and I had a question as well. The asus uses a heat pipe to cool the chipset while the DFI uses a fan, and with the video cards i am looking at buying (2 7800gtx) they would most likely cover up the chipset fan on the DFI and I was wondering if that would make any diffrence.
