I've been trying to research some speakers to get for my computer, but haven't found a whole lot. I don't want to spend more than $80. I know it won't get me anything amazing. I just want some decent speakers, and a sub that can hit hard.
I was looking at the Creative I-Trique 3400s, which cost $80 after a $30 rebate. http://shop1.outpost.com/product/432...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG My friend has heard these, and said they sounded really nice. I have also been thinking about the Logitech X-220 and Z-4. I hear that the X-220s will provide a lot of bass for the price, but I believe they are an older model. Anyways, I'd really appreciate some help. Thanks, Brian |

I just got myself (last week on sale @Circuit City, half price @$39.99) Creative ITrigue 3300. The sound was just awesome, which worked great with my brand new PC. My son liked it a whole lot, and made me to get a set for himself. The regular price is $79.99, but I got lucky with the sale.
Regards, R2

yea there good speakers, super clear, with a clean sound. They dont provide too much bass. But it also has to do with your perspective on bass. When i think about strong bass is those cars that can rattle everyone on the street with there subs. But this one will rattle your room.

i know these are way over your budget and they're 4.1s, but i have them and can say the sub will be a LOT better than the creatives you're looking at.....

Logitech Z-2300 200 watts RMS 2.1 Speaker
8” long-throw subwoofer driver with flared bass port pounds out powerful, distortion-free bass, Exercise complete control over your listening experience with the full-featured SoundTouch wired remote control Master volume, subwoofer volume, headphone jack, power/standby. The subwoofer is massive. Bigger than say, a tree stump. But you can find these at ZipZoomFly for less than 100$. I'll say what I've said about the subwoofer before: it will last longer than the surface you put it on.

I have a set of Logitech 2.1 X-230 speakers, sound pretty nice, get a lot of bass from them, more than I do on my 5.1 Philips set up, they should be around $70 over there, they can bring quality sound, another model to put on your list

I concur with Bootup05, the X-230s are VERY good for the price. Most electronics stores have them for about $50. They have dual cones in the desktop spreakers - very good sound out of those, and a sub that will rival most systems that are 2 to 3 times the price.

The Altec Lansing MX-5021's are for the most part, the best 2.1 speakers for under $200
