I am running windows XP and my ISP is AOL. I have been trying to delete history by going to Control Panel, Network and Internet Connections, Internet Options and then press Clear History but inspite of the fact that that a window pops up asking me if I am sure that I want to delete history nothing happens. I have tried to restart the computer but the history is still there. I have noticed the the button apply is not bold and cannot be used. I would appreciate some advice. Thanks.

You can go to documents and settings, your profile, local settings and delete everything in the "history" and "temporary internet files" folders.
If you can't see your local settings folder, go to the tools--->folder options--->view, click on the view tab and find the option: hidden files and folders, click the show hidden files radio button. Go back to documents and settings/yourprofile and you should see those directories and be able to delete what is under them. Hope this helps.
